Bag coverage on the label assumes one paver size and one joint width. Enter yours instead — a quarter-inch joint on 8x4 pavers eats roughly twice the sand of an eighth-inch joint on 12x12 slabs.

Buy one extra bag: joints are never uniform and a half-filled joint fails first. Sweep the sand in dry, remove every grain from the paver faces with a soft nylon brush before you wet it, then mist in stages — a hard spray floats the polymer out of the joint.

Getting the install right
- Joints must be dry and swept clean to within an eighth inch of the paver surface.
- Sweep sand in diagonally, then vibrate or tap it down so the joint fills solid.
- Brush every grain off the paver faces with a soft nylon brush. Sand left on the surface cures into a haze you cannot remove.
- Mist in two or three light stages, letting each soak in. A hard spray floats the polymer out.
